Leatherwork and leather quality are great. Hardware needs help.
Upon receipt of the kilt, I could tell that the leather is of excellent quality. All of the seams were well stitched and this seems like an item that will provide years of use. However, when I attempted to put the kilt on, all of the snaps were extremely weak. So weak that even the weight of the kilt by itself was enough for the snaps to pop loose. I attempted to modify the snaps to make them hold better, but the metal that the snaps were made from was extremely flimsy. I eventually paid a visit to my local Tandy and bought some replacement snaps. The new snaps are much stronger and hold properly.
I just received this leather kilt and i love the quality of the work, and super delicious quality leather. Perfect. I can only give my best recommendations.
The kilt fits around the waist quite well. It is about an inch short, but that is my fault, not the seller's. The only thing I can really complain about is that the liner doesn't expand with the pleats of the outer kilt. This makes it feel funny and not fall right.
